Review of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) by Agraphapicutres — 14 Jul 2023
An action blockbuster that only Tom Cruise can produce in Hollywood at the moment. Suspense, thrills and edge-of-your-seat excitement with the right amount of espionage, laughs, dramatic irony, and romance.
Hayley Attwell is to die for and plays the damsel-in-distress that is as cunning as a fox and as sexy as could be, perfectly! Her character opposite Cruise adds a degree of realism to the film that is absent in modern cinema.
A toughness that is all female but includes the right about of vulnerability that ignites the chemistry between her and Cruise. It simply makes you want a happening conclusion to this tale at any cost.
This only adds to the overall intensity of this production. If there is a thing as “de-aging”, then I experienced it, making me feel the magic of cinema that is intoxicating and otherwise devoid in current times.
I was a kid again, in awe and in love with all the characters. And on that, every character is superb and played perfectly by the entire cast. Obviously we are coming to the end of this amazing serious… after all, it’s been going on for 30 or so years and with the modern quality of cinematography you can see it in the face of our beloved characters.
