Review of Mission: Impossible (1996) by Dov D — 06 May 2013
The first installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise leaves much to be desired in terms of bad-ass gadgets and excessive fight scenes; however, it boasts the most interesting plot with the most compelling twists of them all (thus far).
Legendary director Brian DePalma along with what can only be described as an all-star screenwriting collaboration delivers big on interest, but lacks purpose. Bottom line, this is the very definition of a summer blockbuster.
Watch it for entertainment purposes only, and you won't regret it.
