Review of Mission Impossible (1971) by Erik G — 26 Jan 2012
Expect the impossible. A former Russian spy selling international intelligence on the black market... A list containing names of the top undercover agents in the world... A corrupt agent doubling for an unknown organization... A mysterious arms dealer... A spy agency ready to disavow the actions or existence of any of its members captured or killed... And one man on a mission which seems impossible... Starring the great acting performances by Tom Cruise, Emmanuelle Beart, Henry Czerny, and Jean Reno.
By listening to the familiar 'Mission: Impossible' theme I always feel like I want to watch this spy action thriller featuring great action sequences such as the memorable tunnel chase that has been in my head since watching a bit of it back in its video release. The film is great and all, though there are mostly dramatic scenes with dialogue between the characters. In spite of this it's not at all that bad; Mr. Cruise does his notable performance as secret agent Ethan Hunt, who is framed for the deaths of his espionage team. And I can say this is a film that is fun to see for the thrills!
