Review of Miss Sloane (2016) by Cristian B — 02 Dec 2016
Sure, it might not be the tightest script ever, but it's a solo writer for the first time. It's filled with really wonderful performances, and if you have any interest in the cesspool of DC, lobbyists, gun control, or Grisham / House of Cards type intrigue, just see it.
It's also amazing how Chastain's gender is not the focus, but isn't absent. It's a great balance of a role that perhaps could have been a man, but doesn't ignore that she's a woman either (though none of the plot is about her being a 'female lobbyist,'v thanksfully).
