Review of Miss Sloane (2016) by Gordon E — 13 Dec 2016
Bomb - Seriously, when will Hollywood start to understand gun control movies don't work. Jessica Chastain is an excellent actress and does her part to make the movie interesting. It's too bad this movie wasn't centered around a more populist movement.
Her great acting was never going to be able to overcome a highly controversial, and losing, idealism of gun control in a country that is majority to overwhelmingly pro-gun. This is good polito-ficition (political fiction) for a small audience.
I guess it's good the movie only cost $13M and not $50M to create. Pass on this lump of coal at Christmas.
