Review of Miss Potter (2006) by Carol W — 07 Aug 2009
Great acting and a wonderful storyline, highlighting the life of a person who refused to play an unfitting part given to her by others and grabbed life with both hands. Miss Potter has it all; beautiful scenery, interesting characters, love and loss and love again and a creative spirit swimming against the tide.
The only thing it's "missing" is gratuitous nudity and violence. If you are an Anglophile, a single woman over 30, or ever enjoyed Beatrix Potter's stories in childhood, this movie is for you.
