Review of Miss Potter (2006) by Jeff B — 28 Apr 2011
Nothing special, it's a harmless movie of Peter Rabbit author Beatrix Potter and how she became famous and fell in love with her publisher. This came out right after Finding Neverland so I think they were just trying to do another beloved author biopic.
Unfortunately, this story isn't too interesting, it's just the typical free woman who falls for a man and stuff happens, except this time it's someone famous. Renee Zellweger is fine, Ewan McGregor is nice, and Emily Watson is good, but there's just nothing spectacular here (although the score is very nice).
Anyway, it's okay but you won't be missing much if you don't see it.
