Review of Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (2008) by Ross M — 20 Jan 2009
In the best tradition of a 19th Century British farce, but it's a woman's movie. McDormand has the lead but Amy Adams is effervescent as the glamorous American chanteuse Miss Pettigrew finds herself working for.
A great script, lively direction and superb secondary actors make for my favorite film of 2008.
