Review of Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (2008) by Sean D — 15 Jan 2009
This movie is like a pick champagne cocktail. Bubbly, fun and light. Nothing serious happens, which is great. Amy Adams plays Delysia LaFosse like Marilyn Monroe, and it works perfectly for her. Frances Mcdormand as her British 'social secretary' works well, and the supporting actors are wacky, which is exactly what the film demands.
If you are looking for something to watch that doesn't require a lot of mental exercises or have a lot of heavy drama, this movie is the one for you!
