Review of Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (2008) by Caleb C — 13 Aug 2009

Going into this film, I was not expecting a whole lot. Then again I didn't exactly know what it was about. I was highly entertained by this film and couldn't get this stupid smile off my face throughout the entirety of the darn thing.

Amy Adams plays the very energetic and clueless Delysia Lafosse. Adams was a perfect fit for this role and brings much charm to the film. A lot of this does seem a bit campy and unrealistic though, I have to say. It is a lot of enjoyable fantasy though and one that fans of Audrey Hephburns films from the earlier days in film, will love. This never get's boring and is full of wonderful suprises and great performances..even if they are a bit over the top.
