Review of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) by Stavros A — 18 Oct 2016
Like every Tim Burton movie, this one has amazing photography and performances. However, the plot moved so slow that you could actually feel the time stop. Additionally, it must have been the first time I had to close my eyes for a movie, and I'm talking of course about the scene with the eye-eating. Gross. Lastly, despite the title, Miss Peregrine had absolutely no special part in the final act, so maybe it should be retitled to: Home for peculiar children.
Overall, a boring attempt to entertain but visually astonighing!
