Review of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) by Nate J — 10 Dec 2016
A disappointing story which I was told was an amazing book. Tim Burton is known for his dreary works, but I've never seen a film before this made in such a way that makes indie filmmakers look in the same league.
The cast are good for the most part, but I'm struggling to find where this would fit anywhere. It's too scary for kids, but not enough punch for adults. It's bland and although not Burton's worst film, there's nothing of excitement here.
