Review of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) by Joshua V — 25 Dec 2016

This new film from Tim Burton lacks a sense of direction or depth. The characters are stiff and lack real personality, the plot travels by scenes and without much of a flow, and the tone of the film constantly shifts from light-hearted family affair to creepy horror flick.

Ultimately the film doesn't translate anything of interest onto the big screen from its source material novel and doesn't provide anything memorable or truly entertaining.
