Review of Miss March (2009) by David H — 19 May 2011
I am admittedly a fan of The Whitest Kids U Know show - whether that says something about me in the first place or not - and was looking forward to a movie written and directed by two of the show's cast members.
To be honest, though, from the previews and all that, I really was expecting a different movie. I guess it just wasn't marketed very well. To put this together in one simple, easy to understand sentence: "Miss March" is a mix of "Dumb and Dumber", "American Pie", and "Sex Drive", but nowhere near as funny.
I was heavily disappointed. There were only a couple of parts that had me really laughing. I feel that if I were to try to write a comedy film, these would be the jokes that I come up with - because I really feel like I can't write comedy that well.
The climax set at the Playboy Mansion was cheese (any movie that uses the Playboy Mansion like that is desperate), the acting was stale, the story was not at all believable, and I couldn't wait for it to end.
