Review of Miss Kicki (2009) by Eric P — 07 Mar 2010
I thought the two main actors (Pernilla August and Ludgwig Palmell) were convincing as a dysfunctional family torn apart by the mother's restless, wandering ways and immature relationships she seems to form with all the men around her.
But the shallow, unexplored relationship between the son Viktor and Didi made me want to scream at the screenwriter. Why introduce some chemistry between the two characters and leave the motivation and outcome so frustratingly unresolved and unexplored? I felt as manipulated by this cock-tease as the mother's male friends.
