Review of Miss Julie (2014) by Kyle B — 28 Nov 2015
Very strong performances, but the almost unchanging setting was claustrophobic - though this could have been intentional on the part of the director, former actress Liv Ullman, in order to augment the oppressiveness of the drama.
The abrupt and seemingly irrational see-saw switches of mood make for a drain-and exhaust-you movie that I I personally would not be sorry to have missed,.
