Review of Miss Congeniality (2000) by Edgar C — 20 May 2010
Estrogen Wars should be its "aka" title. It's preposterous how famous actresses climb the ladder of stardom with stereotypical and manipulative projects like this. Not even the clichéd "beauty is within" teaching was here, just Bullock laughing like a pig and the delightful show-stealing skills of Michael Caine with his mere presence.
But let's face it: girls will be D-E-L-I-G-H-T-E-D. No wonder why our beloved women complain about their lack of "freedom" and "speech" but intrinsically accept to subject their flesh and souls to media stereotypes and irrational, moronic behaviors seen in reality shows and TV commercials that feed their shopoholic minds.
42/100.
