Review of Miss Congeniality (2000) by Matt M — 16 Jun 2013
A female cop with a reputation for being quite a tomboy, is forced to go undercover in a beauty peagant and not only take part in it but win the whole thing. The premise may seem ridiculous, yet in its simplicity Miss Congeniality is a film that works and gets the laughs that it wants, but more thanks to its cast than the screenplay, with a funny Sandra Bullock lead performances and some delightful support by the likes of Michael Caine and William Shatner.
