Review of Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005) by Amy C — 01 May 2012

Average movie sequel. The run time could have shorten. Sandra Bullock and team amush in a bank to nab robbers. The public recognize her as beauty pageant and the robbers are alerted. She still manage to settle the whole situation.

Her boss Ernie Hudson told her she get lots of fan mail after the pageant, want her to be the face of FBI. She's suppose to have dinner with her agent boyfriend from the first movie but he call it quits.

Regina King is newly transfer and has anger issue. Both ladies clash at the gym. Sandra agreed to the deal and Diedrich Bader will help to transform her into a beauty again. 10 months later, Sandra is all preen and proper as the face.

Regina is part of her tour group as nobody want to work with her. She is the self defense demo now instead of Sandra herself. Her pageant friends Heather Burns and William Shatner drops in surprise. At the autograph session, a little girl like Sandra to attend her class as she is doing a book study on her.

Heather and William are kidnapped. Ernie want Regina to be her bodyguard at Vegas. The original baddie want the kidnappers Nick Offerman & Abraham Benrubi to obey his kidnapping deals and the brothers reverse it instead.

They hold them for ransom. Enrique Murciano is the liaison for Sandra. Treat Williams is the chief of Vegas FBI. Sandra view the CCTV footage and go with her own investigation. She find the limo driver who told her that day a lady who look like Dolly Parton give her $200 to park far away.

Sandra is late for the press conference and Regina lash it out at her. Sandra saw Dolly and chase, thinking she is just lookalike. The whole fiasco is shown on tv and ridicule. Treat wants both of them return back and not meddle with investigation.

Sandra view the CCTV again and realise Heather isn't the target but William is from the way the baddies go over to him. She convince Regina to help her and they stayed at Enrique home. Diedrich disguise Sandra as old lady so they infiltrate into the old folks home which William mum is staying, where the kidnap took place outside.

The mother don't seem surprise William is kidnap as he is addicted to slot machines and owe loansharks. Enrique is ask to get data of local loansharks in database. He saw his girlfriend Elisabeth Röhm seemingly intimate with Treat and is dumbfounded.

He just can't lie and the truth is expose to Treat. The baddies is gonna kill them and push the ransom ahead of date. Sandra have no more backing of the boss and director. Treat want them out of Vegas or else Enrique is fired as well.

Regina saw the billboard and call the club if Dolly Parton is performing. Got info a drag show of Dolly is in one club instead. She fight with Sandra at the airport and want to complete this mission, be her true self.

Sandra fake menses cramp and escape. The FBI track down the cars and location but the hut is empty. They have move on to the location, their old work place - pirate ship theme park. Sandra and Regina disguise as performers in the club.

Elisabeth called Enrique and track their location. The ladies force to perform and gain backstage entry. The drag Dolly says he is made to do so for he owns the baddies money. Sandra figured they be at the treasure island location.

The baddies ran off after tying the hostages under the ship and were beaten by Sandra and Regina. Soon the agents arrive too. Sandra save them but got stuck underwater. Regina dive in to save her up. Heather and Enrique hit it off well after he save her.

Treat quickly fake for credits in front of press. Sandra and Regina become partners and friends. She turns up at the school as surprise for the girl.
