Review of Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005) by Darrell W — 13 Jun 2012
This movie was not made to realize an idea but to realize profits. The first movie did fairly well at the box office, so a sequel had to follow - a natural Hollywood logic. At least for me, the movie did not work at any level.
Just starting with Bullock all moony and depressed because her boyfriend (Benj Bratt who was probably intelligent enough to refuse participation in a sequel) left her. I don't even want to talk about the story.
I am very generous with Bullock and even she can have a bad day. The movie still has some funny scenes, e.g. when Bullock dresses up as a senior to investigate undercover in a retirement facility. However, because they movie is so shaky in its groundwork, I can't be more generous than 4/10.
