So if you knew nothing about the drug war in Mexico, you came out of this movie exactly how you came in. The movie can basically be reduced to bullets and rape. There story is bleak and thin and there is barely any social commentary because you do not know what is going on except bullets and rape.

There is no intention of letting people know where did all of this comes from or where it is going; it is there like it has always been like that. If there is some bullshit going on on how Laura's story is an analogy for what Mexico is going through I want to tell Mr.

Garcia and Mr. Luna that today and for the last six years in Mexico there has been blatantly more good intentioned people than bad. And that there has been thousands of good intentioned public officials, journalists and soldiers that have put their lives and those of their families in the line to represent those intentions.

Many of them perished while at it. Nowhere in this movie I saw this represented. It was one hour and a half of cringing in my seat, lamenting for my 13 dollars. I believe this is the most indulgent rubbish that has came out of the Narco-culture exploitation that has taken over the Mexican media in the last few years.

Do not waste your time, money and energy with this piece of crap. Props to Stephanie Sigman because she is stellar in the movie.
