This had an interesting premise, and I really enjoyed the first half of the movie because it was about how a small-town girl was way out of her league in the pageant she was to be in. Her bad choices with her friend, which led to a couple of bad situations for them, was interesting.

Then I thought the movie took a wrong turn where she could not figure out whom to trust. At the end it almost became a self-parody. The actress who played the lead was very good, but the script needed a lot of work.
