Review of Miss Austen Regrets (2008) by Nicole N — 05 Apr 2009
Anything related to jane austen cant be bad, this is no exception! olivia williams somehow has some resemblance with anne hathaway (i hv some problem with american playing british, esp jane austen!), sort of making me feel that this is the aged jane (albeit not intended by the producers), olivia is very good as the witty and cynical (orally) jane austen.
it feels like this is the real jane austen, who has a life and problems of her own; lovely lines / harsh reality about love and relationships (the mother and daughter scene was so sad! I always expect jane's mother to be like mrs bennet!).
