Paul Schrader (WRITER Taxi Driver, Raging Bull) DIRECTS this brilliant masterfull masterpiece of cinema regarding a suicidal artist (suprise). This film boast a techinichal brilliance above all else and a unique story telling device, which is sort of like a screen PLAY, no the text form.
I think it is safe to say this easily, after one viewing, has become one of my favorite films.
