Review of Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985) by Brad W — 18 Feb 2009
Very interesting look at Mishima's life and writings. Schrader pulls some of the tricks he used in Cat People, but takes it further into a stylized theater setting. Intriguing blend of art and political thought from the film's protagonist.
Not something you run into often. Not going to be everyone's cup of tea, and you have to be in the right mood for it, but a worthwhile endeavor for those adventurous enough.
