Review of Misery (1990) by Alvin Y — 20 Jun 2010
This was a really terrific and suspenseful film. Well, it is based on a Stephen King story so we know something like there will be a thrill, and most of all a big twist mostly at the end. Bate's character deserves the oscar, she plays a psychotic woman who plays nurse who is also a criminal. Everything that I expect from a suspense film was all here. At the end, Caan's character was saved and tells us that he has learn something from that experience with Annie Wilkes.
Such a good film but still "The Shining" is my number one and this is now my number 2!!!!
