Review of Misery (1990) by Alex C — 22 Oct 2010
Lovely thriller, brilliantly made with consistencies to the source and respect to the genre, the filmmakers put some nice wheel to drive the audience "through the hell". The performance is excellent; even though it's a thriller, one will see Wilkes' passion for the Sheldon's novels, and then turns to a temper and brute actions.
There was a haunting feeling the first time she looked at him in the eye. The cinematography is also well developed in a manner of respect towards the stylish thriller of 70's. Overall, the film could give its audience what they need from an adaptation of Stephen King's novel; a great experience of horror.
