Review of Misery (1990) by Max S — 01 Mar 2014
Oh Misery. This was a good one! Kathy Bates is really convincing as the ex crazy Nurse. But of course she had a very good co star too. James Caan. This movie stands in a class all it's own. It's also one of the best book to film movies from Stephen King.
While watching this movie you just really feel James Caan's desperation of the situation he's in. After his accident he is so badly hurt that he cannot just beat the c**p out of Kathy Bates and run off.
He is stuck and trapped with this crazy woman and throughout most of the film, you are wondering how he will protect himself long enough to survive this psycho? There are plenty of nail biting, tense moments where you just question what this insane fan will do next to torture him? I thought this movie was exceptional.
Of course the writing was great, directing and acting. Top notch. Really good horror movie.
