Review of Misery (1990) by David L — 17 Aug 2014
A decidedly middlebrow rendition of King's novel which looks much hokey-er, in retrospect, than it did at release, I'm sure. There are a few really groan worthy aspects- as when Paul uncovers Annie's entire life story via conveniently placed newspaper clippings.
It's aged poorly- which is sad given Kathy Bates' obviously incredible performance.
