Review of MirrorMask (2005) by Bruce S — 08 Jul 2008
This VERY artsy movie starts out in the real world, and then goes into the main character's imagination. The two parts, reality and the rest, are in stark contrast. I found that I could either enjoy one half or the other, but it was like pausing a movie and watching the last half of another movie that I didn't remember starting.
The themes, feelings, and overall movie experience were so ... off. Other than that I found it witty and thoroughly entertaining.
