Review of MirrorMask (2005) by Katie R — 30 May 2009
It's Neil Gaiman through and through, so if you aren't a Gaiman fan, this one really isn't for you. But I love Gaiman and this movie captures the feeling of his work and worlds he creates perfectly.
One of the best things about the Sandman books are the Dave McKean covers, and the movie does basically look like a Sandman cover. So, again, if you're a fan of that sort of thing, you'll probably like it.
It's a fairytale, a fantastical journey about feelings and emotions that are very familiar.
