Review of MirrorMask (2005) by David S — 26 Jul 2009
A bizarre film in the vein of Alice In Wonderland and Labirynth. The story is of a young girl who goes on a quest to save the good queen of a mythical land while trying to dodge the darkness of the evil queen who also rules the land.
Simple in its execution and some weird yet wonderful creations, this is worth a look for the spectical of it all. The cinematography is lush and eye popping while the effects are experimental if a little odd.
A solid fantasy affair that is a little slow at times, though very watchable.
