Despite having some intriguing twists and nice feminist touches in this retelling of the Snow White story, the story itself never fully engages. Bland screenplay, perhaps? The Bollywood-like finish was fun; too bad they didn't have more of that throughout the film to bring it some much-needed sparkle.
