Mirror Mirror is an example of a movie that wants to be everything but ends up being not much of it. It tried to look stunning visually but it gets lost in a mix of different styles, the costumes are pretty impressive by themselves, but I can only see them being beautiful pieces of clothing, I guess the plot is kinda weak for all these planned design.

The view of the castle from outside looks from Alladin tale, inside it mixes different styles that doesn't match. The movie also doesn't know if it wants to be adventurous, hilarious or more serious, so it tries to be everything at once and doesn't do it really well.

I think that the bad thing that movies like this onde and other such as Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton are doing to traditional fairytales is that they are doing it much over the top, you can be original but you don't need to screw up everything like this because you have a large budget to build whatever you want in CG.
