Lily Collins is one bad apple here, in her acting ability and her unrealistic performance as the infamous Snow White. It is enjoyable, and the dwarves are quite entertaining, but that doesn't mean Collins isn't tedious.
Julia Roberts makes a sarcastic and vain queen, one of her best performances. In all, Mirror Mirror is a beautifully made charmer which the family will enjoy, but lacks real depth, since all the other adaptations are wonderful (apart from the other 2012 Snow White-based film, SW And the Huntsman).
