Review of Mirror Game (2016) by Rifat S — 04 Oct 2016
Deconstructing Genre: magical realism hyper drama, I think you have to tell a story to the audience and in so doing you have to translate it through an image, which means that you direct the eye in the heart to look in a certain way, you want it to be where and you want them to see it and never saw anybody tell a story that way pretty much "Aynabaji". This on you because physiological emotional balance of story by Gaosul Alam Shaon, Anam Biswas & Adnan Adib Khan, distortion of perspective images by Rashed Zaman, rhythmic pressure & metaphorical editing by Iqbal Kabir Joel. When sharing the images of this life of Dhaka city that you take a journey into the poetry of the images that we may recognize them together and it's a wonderful Director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury.
One thing you go to theatre to be involved in "Aynabaji" to get a sense I just want to lose myself up in the screen for a few hours because powerful acting by Chanchal Chowdhury to be extraordinary genies to ability transform himself intelligent, brave and realism character of Ayna and Ripon Nath's sound editing is very subjective and dependent upon the visual context and the mood on this movie.
