Review of Miracles from Heaven (2016) by Jon C — 18 Mar 2016
Good but not great.
Being based on one of the most controversial stories it may not bring in many newcomers to the faith-based community but it will touch your heart.
It certainly had me welling up during the middle.
The plot just stagnates unfortunately to get to the part where Anna sees God during an out-of-body experience and is miraculously cured from a life-threatening condition.
It does bring up a lot of theories of what actually transpired when she fell from the tree:
Was it a supernatural force of nature, was it divine intervention, or was it simply a miracle?
Jennifer Garner is top-of-the-line playing the mother, Christy.
She even brings up something that Einstein used to say: you either live a life without miracles or everything is a miracle.
Most of the time we don't know that the small things that happen in life are blessings of their own.
You don't have to be a firm believer in this little girl's recovery and this movie thankfully doesn't shove its Christian values down your throat.
Need a break from the superheroes and action flicks? this movie's real heroes are the people holding on to their faith not giving up the good life they still want.
