I wasn't interested in seeing this in the theatres because I was sure it wouldn't be as good as the original (which I love). But I caught it on tv and it has its own charms. Some of the changes they made to the script to update it were clever; others, I felt, left the film rather lacklustre.
Still, I enjoyed this version more than I thought I would.
