Review of Miracle in Milan (1951) by Sean C — 28 Oct 2010
A charming and delightful story where the characters use their imagination to transcend their glum environment. Kurosawa's Dodes 'ka den must have been inspired. De Sica drops the heaviness of his previous efforts and instead gives us a child-like fantasy with moments of hard-hitting reality.
That said, I personally much prefer his earlier films.
