Review of Miracle at St. Anna (2008) by Joe A — 12 Feb 2009
Sadly this is an excruciatingly slow and boring movie despite an interesting story. Spike Lee's messages about racism are so heavy handed that they get in the way rather then make a point. The movie also wanders back and forth between subplots aimlessly and Lee fails to evoke the usually good performances that can be found in his other films.
Very disappointing.
