Review of Miracle at St. Anna (2008) by Judge L — 23 Feb 2009

I really wanted to see this film on the big screen but just never got around to it. I recently purchased it on Blu Ray; being a student of WWII I gambled on it being worth the purchase even after reading many not so good reviews on it.

Well it is an alright movie....little long, the strength of the actors performances comes and goes. It's a fairly good story; but could have used a little less of the Spike Lee touch. There is one flash back scene that takes place during the main flash back(which is most of the film). I felt like it was way out of place, it really slowed down the movie.

The ending is nice, little rushed..but nice.

Worth the watch..and if you like WWII films it is worth the purchase.
