Review of Miracle at St. Anna (2008) by Joshua H — 24 Mar 2009
Spike Lee's intentions where to pay homage to the Black soldiers who fought and died in WWII. What honorable intentions, but good intentions will only take you so far, eventually you have to deliver, and this movie comes way short on that front.
I really wanted to like this movie, but it's so convoluted with trite sub-plots that go absolutely no where that you seen a million of times. And this movie is unnecessarily long with little pay off.
