The greatest sports film ever made. Kurt Russell delivers a flawless perforance as the iconoclastic Herb Brooks. But what really makes this picture work are the players... not actors but real hockey players who even look like the original team members they are portraying.
The story is true to real life events and the game action footage is excellent. This movie just gets everything right, from period news footage and music right down to the greatest call in sports journalism history: "Do you believe in Miracles? YES!".
