Setting aside the blight cynicism that comes with not only this particular film, but also every forthcoming project that will feature Cruise, I'd really forgotten how great this movie still is. Spielberg's efforts here continually ascertains how speculative sci-fi is supposed to be used, only told within the mindset of a film noir--ala "Blade Runner.
