I love Max Von Sydow and like Colin Farrell but I hate Tom Cruise; and though the ideas are interesting the way they are explored is not. It's a well-thought out rendering of the future and the actual filmmaking is strong and there are some fun sequences but it becomes something of a chore to sit through in the final act.
