Review of Mini's First Time (2006) by Rachel H — 17 Nov 2007
A movie about a girl having a twisted mind of sorts as chance would have it, she is an escort for her step-father and seduces him before he finds out the truth. After that, they try to keep the relationship running and resort to ways to keep things going so her mom won't find out and that they can eventually go around their own house freely with it.
Carrie-Anne Moss makes me proud to be Canadian. She's a lovely woman with a good physique but then doing all those Matrix movies would have allowed her an athletic build. For Ugly Betty fans, Rick Fox makes a cameo that just about makes you laugh. For the Trekkers, Nana Visitor has a cameo as Mini's principal. And Jeff Goldblum's character is hilarious at times too, as he appears to be the perverted old man we all are at times. :).
As for Nikki Reed, she's a lovely girl and her character was one you could love but also hate. She has a great boldness and a devious mind for making up and getting out of things. Though the plot likely wasn't needed to get the result they wanted, it was done for the movie as it has a better suspenseful feeling I think.
