Review of Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022) by Mrdeven — 01 Jul 2022

I wasn't expecting much beforehand, but now here I am typing something I never thought I would type a month ago: a sequel to the Minions movie is actually more engaging and enjoyable to watch than Pixar's underwhelming Buzz Lightyear spin-off.

It helps that the memes surrounding this film resulted in a bunch of people in the audience I was with dressing up in fancy suits and hollering with unabashed glee at the opening titles like it was a Marvel movie. That made me smile.
