Review of Minions (2015) by Philip M — 01 Jan 2016
This movie is mostly think-free fun, with a good slice of American jabs at Britishness (making tea all the time, an obsession with royalty - though only as an ongoing pageant - in real life, some of the plots would be utterly insignificant). I would have preferred it if the Britishness was using real UK accents, but I suppose the target audience in the US would have difficulty with that. And, I suppose if your are being accurate, you would have to critique the Antarctic wildlife. Never mind, as I said, think-free.
Big non-spoiler: this is one movie where you definitely want to wait to the end of the credits for the Minions rendition of The Beatles' "Revolution". I have no idea if it attempts to be true to the original words ...
