Minions is ok. it's fairly funny and had some cool characters. but the problem is that without the Despicable Me cast there is way too much of the minions and it doesn't fully work and just seems like a ton of sequences that have been tied together rather loosely.

I also thought the really talented cast were wasted. that being said I enjoyed the film and I think some of the best moments are the background gags but it need to be better written to keep the entire audience engaged.
