Review of Minions (2015) by Breesa B — 08 Dec 2015
Minions.
ð???ð???
Minions is a 2015 American 3D computer-animated family comedy film, serving as a spin-off/prequel to the Despicable Me franchise. Produced by Illumination Entertainment for Universal Pictures, it was directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda.
Again, Illumination Entertainment brings another film that is candy for the eyes, but a dull buzz on the brain.
The Minions are on a quest to find a new evil master, so Bob, Stuart and Kevin set out to find one at the Villian Con, a big gathering of all villians in the world in the under developed Orlando (takes place in 1964). There they meet the first female super villian Scarlett Overkill, voiced by Sandra Bullock.
So, watching the Minions in Despicable Me was tolerable because you only had to deal with their annoying language for a few seconds at a time, but a whole movie of it, got annoying real fast.
It was nothing but 90 minutes of over used and dull jokes. Even my daughter got bored quickly, and that's not a good sign.
I prefer the Despicable Me films rather then a minion movie. They had more substance and humor that at the very least kept your attention.
Kind of dissapointed in this movie. But that's the trend in Hollywood today, milk the cow dry, even if the milk is sour and bitter.
